About Dante Palermo

Dante grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and got his first kitchen job at sixteen, making pizzas. He came to San Francisco in 1991 where he worked at such esteemed restaurants as The Blue Bear and Santino's. He opened Pane Rubato in 2000, and recently published The Broken Heart Diet, his first cookbook.
